Montana State University Bobcat football will host Western Illinois for the home opener on Thursday at Bobcat Stadium, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. Parking demand will be extremely high. MSU urges students, faculty, staff and the community to consider walking, biking, carpooling or using the Streamline bus system that day.
Here are the changes Thursday’s game will have on parking and traffic:
Kagy Boulevard will be closed from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. between Seventh and 11th avenues. Signs will direct motorists to Grant Street for a detour, but that is likely to be very congested. Alternate routes are recommended.
Stadium Parking Lots
The East and West Stadium parking lots will close to commuters at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, and reopen the following day, Aug. 31, at 6 a.m.
Aug. 30 only: F permit holders may park in any SB lot.
South Fieldhouse Lot
The southernmost parking bay (along Kagy Boulevard) in the South Fieldhouse lot will close at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, and reopen the following day at 6 a.m.
All parking bays in the South Fieldhouse lot will close at noon on Thursday, Aug. 30.
All vehicles must be out of the South Fieldhouse lot no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30.
The fourth floor of the parking garage will be available as overflow parking for SB and F commuters on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, only.
Parking demand will be extremely high. The university urges you to consider walking, biking, carpooling or using the Streamline bus system.
