The Three Forks High School FCCLA Chapter was selected to receive the 2019 National Chapter Public Relations Award, sponsored by Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
The award recognizes chapters that “excelled” in planning and implementing an exemplary public relations campaign to increase public awareness of FCCLA and Family and Consumer Sciences education.
The Three Forks High School chapter won with their project “Don’t Be Shy, Give FCCLA a Try.” Chapter members set the goal of increasing chapter membership and community awareness. As a result, members participated in the Vision Zero program sponsored by the Montana Department of Transportation and also provided blankets for children in crisis situations. Their project efforts reached over 250,200 people through news broadcasts, newspaper articles, and social media campaigns.
Halee Wilson shared, “I am looking forward to attending the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim and competing in the STAR Event Promote and Publicize FCCLA” Halee will be attending the conference along with Hannah DeLaittre, Taylor Raffety, Brooklynn Hossfeld, Gabryele Veltkamp, Carey Hanson and Morgan Carr who will also compete in STAR Events at the conference. We are very thankful for the support of our school and community we are all grateful for the opportunity to represent Montana at the FCCLA National Conference.
