The Belgrade News is looking for a part-time news reporter. Is that you?

Come work in the beautiful Gallatin Valley, chock full of outdoor amenities, from skiing and climbing to fishing and hunting. The Belgrade News is looking for a part-time news reporter.

We are an award-winning, weekly newspaper that covers just about everything in the valley. The beat is diverse and includes crime, schools, local government, features, photos and whatever else comes our way. As a general rule, we encourage reporters to pursue their own interests as long as the beat is covered. Social Media maintenance is also on the To-Do List as the middle-aged editor is, well…. middle aged.

Pay is $14.40 an hour for 20 hours a week. At the moment, we’re thinking of a Monday-Wednesday schedule, but flexibility exists. You see, it’s the hours and the pay that keeps us all in newspapering. We are a relaxed office that I affectionately call “The Fruit Stand.” Possessing a sense of humor helps, as we don’t take ourselves too seriously. But we do take the job seriously.
